🚗 Major Carmakers Fined £460 Million for Green Advertising Collusion

The UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), in coordination with the European Commission, has fined 15 leading car manufacturers and two trade associations nearly £460 million for operating a cartel related to vehicle recycling and green advertising claims. Companies including BMW, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen were found to have illegally agreed not to compete on advertising the recycled content of their vehicles, limiting consumer access to information on the environmental credentials of different models.
